Changchun Yatai of China striker Odion Ighalo has sent a goodwill message to his Super Eagles team mates as they clash will South Africa Saturday in Uyo in an AFCON 2017 qualifier.
Ighalo, who was left out of the squad for the game by the coach, has said he is confident the players called up for the qualifier will do Nigerians proud.
“I am wishing the team and individual players for the game all the best, I believe they will win and make us proud,” former Watford striker Ighalo said.
Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has told reporters that the difficulty of monitoring the players in China and the long distance and time between China and Nigeria combined to make him decide to league out Ighalo and the other players plying their trade in the Far East.
In same vein, former Nigeria international George Abbey also wish eagles victory against Bafana Bafana.
