Super Eagles youngster Alex Iwobi has revealed an injured leg after Arsenal laboured to a 2-0 win over Sutton in the FA Cup on Monday night.
The Arsenal man came down with an injury after Sutton’s Jamie Collins’ poor challenge in the first half but he was eventually taken off in the 74th minute.
The 20-year-old posted a a picture of his right foot wrapped in a bandage on his Snapchat account.
Arsenal are not in action this weekend as their match with Southampton has been postponed because they are facing Manchester United in the EFL Cup final.
Wenger’s men have nearly two weeks to prepare for the Reds, which helps explain why he chose to replace Iwobi with star man Alexis Sanchez.
Arsene Wenger insisted star man Sanchez was not at risk by playing on Sutton’s much-talked about plastic pitch. “He is a guy who has a strong body,” said Wenger.
