Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, and his wife, Amina Bello, with their cute son, have graced the launch of a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) focused on supporting people living with Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities.
The NGO is an initiative by the governor’s wife to help people with Cerebral Palsy and special needs.
It was gathered that the Kogi first family were the center of attention at the event as they were full of love and admiration for one another.
Governor Bello and his wife dressed in matching outfit with their son who suffers from Cerebral Palsy.
Despite the fact that the little boy was on a wheel-chair, he looked full of life with a smile for everyone who approached him.
Although the cute child was the main center of attraction, his parents were not too far behind as they showered each other with love, hugs and kisses.
Mrs Bello who addressed the audience at the event, encouraged parents of special needs children to never give up.
She noted that with good education and adequate care for children with special needs, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, no matter what challenges and discrimination they face.
The Kogi first lady said: “I live on my son everyday I cherish him and love him so much.”
Cerebral Palsy is a group of disorders that affects the way the brain controls the ability to move muscles.
It was also gathered that scientist have not figured out what damages the brain to disrupt the ability to move muscles
Many Nigerian dignitaries were present at the event, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Mrs Folorunsho Alakija, Minister of Labour, Chief Chris Ngige, were at the event which was filmed live to Nigerians.
Entertainers like AY comedian, Timi Dakolo, and Annie Idibia were also present.
