…commiserates with family of late labour leader

Following the assassinations of three persons that were carried out within two days in some parts of Kogi Central Senatorial District, the State Government assured the people of adequate security.
Governor Yahaya Bello who disclosed this, expressed sadness over the unfortunate incidencand condoles with the family and friends of the victims promising that the alleged killings will be thoroughly investigated and perpetrators will be brought to book.
“The State Government is not unaware of the unfortunate incidents and the governor has ordered the security agencies to ensure that they provide adequate security to protect lives and property of people of the area and to prevent further loss of life.
“The governor has also ordered immediate and full investigation into the alleged killings and has directed the security agencies to begin a search and arrest the suspects, urging the public to be calm, law abiding and go about their normal activities.
“The government is on top of the situation to maintain law and order and to ensure that such ugly and unfortunate resurgence is nip in the bud.
“This government has invested so much in making sure that adequate security is provided for the lives and property of all the residents, and as such we will not relent in our efforts to ensuring a long lasting peace across the state.
“This government under my watch is committed to ensuring that the improved security that the state is being enjoying is not truncated or destroyed by unscrupulous elements of destructions who are bent on tarnishing the image of our great state.
“We are appealing to the general public to provide the security agencies with adequate information that will lead to the immediate and timely apprehension of perpetrators and criminals across the state.
“The new direction administration is a government that placed high value and respect for the live of every citizen, we will make sure that the culprits are apprehended to face the full wrath of the law”.
