Police Arrest 7 Kidnappers, 5 Armed Robbery Suspects, Car Jacker in Kogi

Kogi State Police Commmand has arrested seven suspected  kidnappers terrorising the of Kogi East, five armed robbery, one transformer vandal and one car Jacker.

The State Police Commissioner, CP Ali Aji Janga who disclosed this while parading 12 suspects for various offences at the Command Headquarters in Lokoja on Monday, said that Kogi State would not be made to haven for criminal elements.

Janga therefore warned that criminal elements should better relocate now, stressing that anyone caught in the act would be made to face the wrath of law no matter how highly placed.

The Police Commissioner who was represented by the Police Public Relation Officer, (PPRO) ASP William Aya stated that the Nigerian Police, Kogi State Command as part of its continuous onslaught against criminal activities in the State such as armed robbery, Kidnapping, Cultism, cattle rustling,had through an intelligence led operations have dislodged some vicious and notorious kidnap for ransom as well as car jacker and busted their hideouts and can camps across the State.


The suspected kidnappers are Joseph Ukwomonu,Shaibu Oseni, Sani Arome,Alhaji Shadow,Samson Akogwu,Joseph Mathias, Hassan Idris, Ilyasu Shaibu.

The suspected armed robbers are Ibrahim
Hamza, Adejoh Moses, Paul Sanni,Johnson Yusuf  and one car jacker, Shaibu Adejoh Ali.

The Police boss pointed out that on 8th of November 2017, operatives of attached to SARS led by Commabing Officer, Dsp Babagana Bukar was Acting on tip off that one Shaibu Adejoj Ali of Ashigili Area of Dekina local government area of the State was seen with above exhibit while approaching people in the community to enable him ddispose the car he brought from Lagos.

The operatives swung to action arrested the suspect and recovered the exhibit, the investigations revealed that the suspect stole the car from his madam in Lagos.

Speaking in an interview with Journalists the blue colour Toyota Camry belong to his boss, one Mrs Mary Musa.

Shuaibu Stated he was on N45 ,000 per month,  saying he drove his madam to club and did not see her the following morning and decided to come home to see his sick father in Kogi
