Sequel to the incessant rate of kidnapping in Ondo State, the State Police Command has discovered another kidnappers hideout, in Odigbo Local Government Area of the State.

The Command also cleared several hideouts of kidnappers in the area in a ‘sting’ operation.

The operation was led by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Gbenga Adeyanju, and the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Security Matters, Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo, who vowed to rid the state of criminals.

It was coming few days after soldiers from the 32 Artillery Brigade Akure, carried out a similar exercise at the Akoko axis of the state and nabbed seven suspected kidnappers.

Also, it would be recalled that in the last one month, the Ore route has become unsafe for travellers, as kidnappers operate with impunity on the road.

Though no arrest was made during the sting operation, the police boss said the command has put necessary measures in place to checkmate activities of the hoodlums.
