SLG/Super List: Lagos Council Chairmen Panic, Pledge Allegiance to Gov. Ambode

The Chairmen of 20 Local Councils and 37 Local Council Development Centres in Lagos State backed down over the plan to square up with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode list of Secretary to Local Government and Supervisors.

Some of the chairmen had moved against the directive of Governor Ambode that the list of Secretary to Local Government and Supervisors prepared by the All Progressives Congress leadership in the state should be respected.

In some councils like the six in Alimosho area, Agege, Orile-Agege and Agboyi Ketu among others, some party leaders had backed the chairmen to swear in their own men as SLG and Supervisors.

Governor Ambode is said to have vowed to deal ruthlessly with such chairmen.

But the chairmen under aegis of Conference 57, had pledged allegiansce to Governor Ambode. This was after a meeting at the weekend in Lagos.
