In what looks like fight over territory, an ally of Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, Hon. Abdullahi Enilolobo from Egbe-Idimu Local Council area of Lagos State, has vowed to dare Governor Akinwunmi Ambode over the list of the Secretaries to the Local Government and Supervising Councillors released in respect of Alimosho areaof the state.
Alimosho used to be the biggest local government area in the country. But following the creation of additional local governments in the state during time of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as governor, the area now boasts of six local government councils.
Governor Aregbesola who was Commissioner for Works in Tinubu’s 8 years two-term administrtaion holds sway as the main leader in the area with his Mandate Group.
Since the list was released by the party and circulated to the chairmen of the councils, Hon. Enilolobo, along with some Alimosho leaders, had vowed to upturn the list.
He claimed that Alimosho is not a territory Governor Ambode can dabble into politically.
Enilolobo directed the chairmen in Alimosho to go ahead and swear-in the lists compiled by the Mandate Group.
As at press time, the leaders and Chairmen of the 6 Alimosho area councils are still meeting, preparing their own approved lists to be inaugurated.
The new list was eventually inaugurated on Monday setting the stage for a clash with Governor Ambode.
The party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has, however, asked the parties to the conflict to resolve the matter amicably and leave him to mourn his eldest son, Kazeem Olajide, who died last week.
The appointed SLGs and Supervisors not directly nominated by the Alimosho leaders have been under serious tension.
But unknown to the Enilolobo Group, the list was sanctioned by the party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Tinubu, and APC Leader in the state, Chief Henry Ajomale.
Following the official release of the final list by the SSG directing all chairmen to inaugurate the newly-appointed council officials, Hon Enilolobo had directed all chairmen under Alimosho not to proceed with any inauguration.
He claimed the list released by the party is of no relevance in Alimosho.
