Men of Ogun State Traffic Compliance Agency (TRACE) have handing sum of two million cash and valuable goods recovered from an accident victim in Abeokuta.
According to Trace Public Relations Officer CDR Babatunde Akinbiyi explained that the accident happened on Friday, 22nd September, 2017, at 09.45hrs, involved a BLUE TVS Motorcycle with reg no. KNN 142 VW, owned by Mr. Adewale Adesegun Shittu, a physiotherapist with the Sacred Heart Hospital, Lantoro, Abeokuta and a hit and run Motorcyclist carrying onions.
While recounting his experience, Mr. Shittu attributed his “safety to God, his Crash Helmet and the timely and prompt arrival of the TRACE team, who quickly rescued him to the nearest medical facilicity, Sacred Heart Hospital”, which accidentally, is his place of work.
According to him, the hit and run Motorcyclist rammed into him from the back and he fell on his side, losing consciousness in the process.
He thanked TRACE Corps for its quick intervention and urged all motorists to use their crash helmets always, as well as, cooperate with the Traffic Agency in its onerous task of ensuring safety on our roads.
The Obantoko Divisional Commander of TRACE Corps, CDR Somuyiwa Abiodun, while handing over the recovered items to the victim, wished him well and implore him to encourage other motorcyclists to use their crash helmets at all times.
