The Lagos State Government has concluded plans to turn Yaba Industrial Estate, Sabo into a Technology Hub this year which is aimed at boosting innovation and creativity among youths in the State.
Governor Akinwumi Ambode said this when he paid a unscheduled visit to some I.C.T Centres in the area on Wednesday. Ambode said hewould create the enabling environment for the youths to showcase their talents, being the future leaders.
He noted that Government would tap into the value chain to drive the state’s economy alongside tourism, entertainment and Sports to create excellence for the state.
The Governor also reiterated its commitment to assisting entrepreneurs and support their concepts through the Employment Trust Fund.
Also, plans are underway to change the face of the Ladipo Ultra Modern International Auto Spare Part Market. The Ladipo road that Runs through the market and the Alhaji Akinwunmi Street, both in the Mushin axis would be reconstructed to facilate ease of doing business in the area.
In addition, the governor said a multilayer car park would be built to decongest the traffic in the area. He said work will commence next month on the projects.
