The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has handed over100 patrol vehicles and 200 motorcycles to all security chiefs as the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Muhammed Adamu launched the vehicles to aid effective security of life and property.
The official presentation and handling over of GMC and Nissan Hilux patrol vehicles was held on Friday September 6, 2019 at Arcade Ground, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Abiodun explained that his administration would not relent his efforts in ensuring adequate security of life and property for all.
While assuring all the security chiefs in the state that his administration will continue to support all the security personnel in the state.
Urging all the citizens of the state to be security conscious and not to harbour criminals in all our respective homes.
Adding that they should maintained the vehicle well in other served is purpose.
Also the IGP explained that, “when I meet the deputy governor of Ogun state during a security meeting at Ibadan in Oyo State she said they are planing to give some vehicle to security personnel in the state. But i thought its something small and I was surprise to see this as record for 100 days in office achievement”.
Mr Governor, don’t let me deceive you indeed, it was a grate achievement and on behalf of Nigeria police force I thanked you for these vehicle giving to my men in the state.
Adamu said with this mobility, all the security personnel will rise to confront any security challenges that want to befalls the state.
While appealing to all individual and cooperate bodies to continued supporting Nigeria Police Force as government alone can not do it.
In attendance are Engr Mrs Noimot Salako Oyedele Deputy governor of Ogun state, Deputy Speaker of Ogun state house of Assembly Hon. Oludare Kadri, Chief Adesina, Pa Mufutau Ajibola, Alhaja Salmot Makanjuola Badru former deputy governor of Ogun state, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo Alake and Paramount Ruler Of Egbaland with other traditional rulers in attendance.
