The remains of Lagos lawmaker, Hon. Olatunde Braimah, who died in the early hours of Friday, July 10, 2020 have been buried. He was 59.
He was buried in accordance with Muslim rites.
Braimah was the Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Information, Strategy, and Security.
Until his death, he was member representing Kosofe State Constituency 2 in the Assembly. He was a second-term lawmaker.
In the 8th Assembly, he was the first Chairman of the Committee on Information, Strategy and Security before becoming Chairman of the Committee on Human Rights, Public Petitions, Justice and LASIEC.
Between 1999 and 2002, he was elected Chairman of Kosofe Local Government.
Popularly called Big Daddy, Braimah was very popular not only among his colleagues and politicians but also among the social circle in Lagos well noted for his jovial nature and the ability to mix and make friends with people.
As at the time of filing this report, the cause of his death was officially unknown, but there were unconfirmed reports that he died of COVID 19.
