No fewer than 14 passengers including the driver of a commercial bus have been abducted along Otan/Imesi Ile road in Osun state by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
The incident was said to have happened on Sunday around 5pm at Ajeoku Junction, Otanle/Imesi Ile expressway.
It was gathered that the passengers in the commercial bus were travelling from Osogbo to Abuja before they were ambushed.
Western Post further learnt that accomplices of the kidnappers pretended as passengers and boarded the bus with other passengers before they strike at the said location.
According to an anonymous source, the kidnappers pointed guns at the bus and ordered the passengers to come out before they were whisked away to an unknown destination.
He disclosed that the driver would have escaped but the deplorable state of the road hindered him.
The Osun State Coordinator of Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Chief Aladesawe Adedeji, who confirmed the incident, said his men and officers of Nigerian Police Force, DSS and Vigilante group are currently trailing the suspects inside the bush.
Chief Adedeji urged people of the state and passengers to be security conscious assuring that all the abducted victims would be rescued without being injured.
Osun State Police Command Spokesman, Folasade Odoro could not be reached as her phone number was not reachable as at the time of filing this reports.
