By Adeola Oladele, Ibadan

Two commercial sex workers, Obafunso Kafilat Titilade and Omoruyi Ronke Ivie, said to be of middle age, have been declared wanted by the police for injuring a police officer in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

The incident was said to have occurred, according to a source, on November 6, 2015 at Better Life Hotel, Ekotedo, Ibadan where they were operating as full-time sex workers.

According to the source who spoke with WESTERN POST on the condition of anonymity, the policemen swung into action when they received a distress call from residents of Ijokodo that some prostitutes residing at the said hotel were committing crimes capable of truncating the peaceful atmosphere of the community.

It was further gathered that the duo of Titilade, born on June 6, 1981 and Ivie, born on August 25, 1985 escaped from custody in Iyaganku Police Station, Ibadan on November 28, 2015, after injuring a policeman with an iron rod. They were said to have disappeared before the arrival of security operatives.

The police have therefore pleaded with the public to assist them with any useful information on how to arrest the culprits by contacting any nearest police station in order to bring them to justice.
