The election kicked–off as early as 10:am with accreditation of delegates, which was described as one of the most peaceful in recent times.
When WESTERN POST correspondent went round to monitor the election Tuesday, some of the aspirants and party leaders said they were satisfied with the organisation and the result of the election.
Mr Sunday Olajide, who emerged as the candidate in Akure South Local Government Constituency 1, told WESTERN POST that even before the election they had all agreed to accept the result in case any one emerges as winner and work together for the party to achieve victory come 2015 at all levels.
