The 2016 European Champions League Semi Finals Are Here!
Manchester City will go head to head with Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals, while Atletico Madrid will take on Bayern Munich.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side were drawn against the Spanish giants in this morning’s UEFA draw in Nyon.
The two-time Premier League champions, who are the only English representatives left in the elite competition, will welcome Zinedine Zidane’s team to the Etihad Stadium in the first leg due to be played on either April 26 or 27.
City will then travel to the Bernabeu on May 3 or 4 for the decider, which could potentially place them in the final against either Atletico Madrid or Bayern Munich.
Pellegrini has avoided a semi-final showdown against Bayern boss, Pep Guardiola, who will take over from the Chilean manager at City this summer, but a final between the two remains on the cards.
The other fixture will feature Bayern Munich versus Real Madrid’s bitter rivals Atletico Madrid.
There is a growing debate about whether the balance of power in football is in favour of the Spanish clubs.
