Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade who contested for governorship primary election in the All Progressives Congress (APC) on October 2nd, 2018, has officially declared to run for the same position under the platform of Allied People’s Movement (APM) in the forthcoming general elections in Ogun State.
Hon. Akinlade made this declaration on Monday during a press conference to party governorship candidate held at APM party Secretariat located at Abiola way, Leme, Abeokuta.
Akinlade explained that he was a former member of All Progressives Congress (APC) before the mandate snatchers took away people’s mandates given to him on October 2nd, 2018 during APC primary elections that was held across state then.
He said this occasions was designed primarily to introduce their new platform Allied People’s Movement (APM), a people oriented movement to sustain both in principle and tempo the rebuilding mission began seven years ago by Governor Ibikunle Amosun CON, FCA.
“Its not a crime to have an orderly and a peaceful succession in the state. To us as a members of the party, this is more critical and important than any politicking.
“He said this noble objectives was Democratically pursued to a point under the APC but was visited with injustice by some people’s that seized the opportunities provided by the primaries to further their personal agenda rather than the overall good of the party and the society at large”.
While presented to the Allied People Movement (APM) the 2018/2019 Ogun State APM Campaign team for the February general elections.
Chief Sharafa Tunji Ishola as Director General DG, Dr Babatunde Ipaye as the Deputy Director General (DDG), Hon. Toyin Ayebusiwa as Ogun East Senatorial district, Chief Wole Adesiji as the Ogun central senatorial district and Chief Jide Ojuko as the Ogun West senatorial district.
