Akala declared that he and his followers remained in APC.
The ex-governor, who spoke in Ogbomoso, instead urged his supporters who are not already in APC to go and join the party.
Akala remarked that it was too early for him to say whether he was interested in any political office in 2019 or not, adding that events would determine where he would go
He then urged people of the country and the state in particular to continue to support President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Abiola Ajimobi of the state.
This confirmation has doused speculations and rumours of alignment between him and his former leader Senator Rashidi Ladoja.
Ladoja and some members of the PDP reconciliatory team had visited the Ogbomoso-born politician in his Ibadan residence to seek his return into the party few days after he (Akala) held a private meeting with the Oyo State governor and former Senate Leader Teslim Folarin in London.
Giving reasons for his decision, Alao-Akala said Ogbomoso people always aligned with the party at the federal and his decision was not far from that.
“I am yet to determine the next move but when the time comes I will act wisely,” he added.
