An Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo has sentenced a 23-year old man, Akeem Ali to three months imprisonment for stealing recharge cards worth N330,000.
The Police prosecutor, Insp. Adeoye Kayode, told the court that the convict committed the offence on January 12, 2020 at about 2:30a.m. at Okefia area, Osogbo.
Kayode said the convict stole an MP3 recorder, recharge cards of MTN, GLO, Etisalat and Zain, worth N330,000, belonging to one Okunola Olaide.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 383 and is punishable under Section 390 (B)(b) of the criminal code cap 34 vol.11, laws of State of Osun 2002.
The accused pleaded guilty to the allegations slammed against him.
In her ruling, Magistrate A.A Awodele sentenced the convict to three months imprisonment.
