Prince Adewale Ogunjobi Emerges Olorile of Orile-Ifo-elect

Twenty months after the demise of late Olorile of Orile-Ifo, Oba (Dr) Samuel Oludademu Tinuosho, Prince Semiu Adewale Ogunjobi has emerged the second Olorile of Orile -Ifo following an election.

Chief Kehinde Bamgbose, Adele and Osi Oba of Orile-Ifo, said the kingmakers endorsed Prince Ogunjobi after he had emerged the Olorile of Orile-Ifo-elect.

The kingmakers are Chief Kehinde Bamgbose as Adele Oba, Alhaji Adeniji Alani, Chairman kingmaker in Orile-Ifo, Chief Egbebunmi as Oluwo, Chief Sanday Odetunde as Otun Oba, Alhaji Fatai Tinuosho as Sarumi, Alhaji Waheed  Olude as Seriki, Chief (Mrs) Modinat Tinuosho as Iyalode, Chief Semiu Olusola, and Lawal Sarafa, the Secretary of the kingmakers.

The election was conducted by the Ifo Local Government Chieftaincy Affairs Section led by the Director- General Service Administration (DGSA).   

Also in attendance during the election were an official of Ifo Local Government; the Divisional Police Officer, Ifo; Director, State Security Service; an official of the National Security Defence Corps (NSDC) and Orile-Ifo Council of Chiefs and kingmakers. 

Prince Ogunjobi polled six votes to defeat his opponent, Prince Afeez Tinuosho, who scored one vote. His name has already been forwarded to the Ogun State Government for ratification. 

According to Chief Bamgbose, Adele and Osi Oba of Orile Ifo, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo (Okunkenu IV), the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, had affirmed that the Tinuosho family had just left the vacant stool, urging the Tinuosho Family to wait for another turn.

He had also directed the kingmaker to select or elect a candidate  that would fill the stool of Olorile of Orile-Ifo from Ogunjobi Ruling House.
The ruling families in Orile-Ifo included Tinuosho, Odetunde, Ogunjobi and Olabulo as gazetted by the immediate-past monarch. 

His Royal Highness, late Oba Samuel  Joshua Oludademu Tinuosho (2001- 2014), reigned for 13 years, 9 years as Baale and 4 years as Oba before his sudden death on June 8, 2014.
