Judges’ conference on Tuesday stalled the arraignment of former Special Adviser on Niger Delta Affairs to President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Kingsley Kuku, before an FCT High Court.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the arraignment was adjourned till April 20.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had planned the arraignment of Kuku and two of his aides, Personal Assistant and Special Adviser Special Duties, in absentia.
The commission had brought separate charges bordering on criminal conspiracy, false declaration of assets and fraudulent acquisition of property against the suspects.
Kuku was alleged to have conspired to award contracts running into millions of naira to companies in which they had interest.
