The lawmaker representing Ido State Constituency in Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Razak Mabaje has assured people of the area of prompt delivery of dividends of democracy before the end of his administration.
Hon. Mabaje gave the assurance at an interactive session with journalists in commemoration of the second anniversary of his tenure in the assembly.
According to him, more plans have been made to distribute and provide relief materials and life-enhancing projects to members of the constituency within a short period of time.
The legislator, who is the chairman, House Committee on Employment, Labour, Productivity and Pensions disclosed that he has provided five boreholes with a high velocity of water in various wards in Ido constituency, adding that two are in Ward nine, one in Ogbatomi, while another one is at Oke Ola Oloro in Omi Adio area.
“Due to high demand for water in some areas in Ido constituency, I decided to embark on massive water project and provision of boreholes in the area. I have one in Araro ward six, another one at ward two in Akufo and another one inward five Aba Laani and so on.
“I also embarked on the construction of a block of four rooms toilet at Islamic High School, Omi Adio, and I also gave cash empowerment to men and women in my constituency,” he said.
Hon. Mabaje said he gave food items to members as partitive during the COVID-19 Pandemic to cushion the hardship of feeding at that moment.
According to him, food items were also distributed to motherless homes and homes of persons with disabilities in his constituency.
He explained that the strike embarked upon by the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) and Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), hindered his plans to reach out to more of his members.
