3 Die, 3 Sustain Injuries In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Auto Crash

    Three persons have been confirmed died in an auto crash that occurred around Isara bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway corridor of Ogun State.

    Three other persons also sustained varying degrees of injuries in the accident.

    The crash involved a Volkswagen Sharon with registration number: GGE175FM and a Mack Truck with no registration number.

    Superintendent Route Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident to newsmen in a statement in Abeokuta on Tuesday.

    Okpe said that the cause of the auto crash was as a result of overspeeding on the part of the Volkswagen driver, who lost control and rammed into the parked truck.

    She said that the accident involved six occupants, with three persons, including two males and one female sustaining injuries while three others, two males and one female, died on the spot.

    Okpe added that the injured victims have been taken to the General Hospital Isara.

    The female corpse was deposited at FOS, Ipara, while other corpses were taken away by their family members.
