The American Association for Cancer Research stated that more than half the cases of cancer diagnosed in the United States – are more than 1.6 million in 2014, which can be preventable with lifestyle changes “it is estimated that more than 50 percent of the 585,720 cancer deaths expected to occur in the United States in 2014 will be related to preventable causes.”
It’s about time we watch what goes into our mouth, cancer is not a disease that should be taken likely. It is one of the most dangerous diseases in the world. Scientist have been working on new ways to battle the aggressive ailment, there are even cancer foundations set up to create awareness and support to those suffering from it.
Canned Food: Most cans items are lined with a substance called bisphenol-A (BPA), which has been shown to genetically alter the brain cells of rats. Many plastic goods, thermal paper, water lines, and many dental composites also contain BPA; this toxic chemical has been linked to different types of cancer, heart disease and reproductive problems. Next time you feel like making a nice red sauce, or stew it is best you go get some organic tomatoes.
Hydrogenated oil: All vegetable oils contain high levels of Omega–6 fatty acids. An excess of Omega- 6 fatty acids cause health problems, such as heart disease and increases in various cancers, especially skin cancer. Hydrogenated oil are frequently deodorized and colored to look appealing. They are like vegetable oil, contain trans fats. The Mayo Clinic says it’s considered to be the worst type of fat there is. It’s known to cause cancer, heart disease, and immune system problems says Dr. David Brownstein of News Mac Health.
Potato chips: This crunchy snack is easily affordable, addictive and quite delicious but contains some harmful substance. According to the National Cancer Institute, the presence of acrymalide, a known carcinogen is found in cigarettes. These fast food staples are fried in hydrogenated vegetable oil and heavily salted. It increases the risk of high blood pressure as well as other health problems.
Soda; sodas also contain artificial colorings and food chemicals like derivative 4-methylimidazole (4-MI); it is no wonder soda pop has been shown to cause cancer. Soda is often the root cause of gastro-esophageal reflux disease, this is when the contents of the stomach leak into the esophagus causing not only pain but an actual burning of the esophagus from stomach acid.
Artificial sweetener: most people trying to lose weight consume more artificial sweetener with the notion it helps with their diet, but research proves such theory wrong. There are numerous studies that show people who consume artificial sweeteners on a regular basis, such as in sodas, or coffee sweeteners, actually gain weight. There is mounting evidence that the chemicals that make up these sweeteners, especially aspartame, which causes a deadly toxin called DKP that breaks down the body. When your stomach processes this chemical, it produces the chemicals that can cause cancer, especially brain tumors.
Alcohol: World Health Organizations International Agency for Research on Cancer looked at the scientific evidence regarding cancer and alcohol use from 27 different studies. They found sufficient evidence to state that excessive alcohol consumption, is the main cause of mouth, esophagus, liver, colon, mouth, rectum, and female breast cancers. Don’t panic, still have some just not too much. A moderate or low consumption of alcohol can be healthy and lead to a reduced risk of heart disease.
