Osun Ex-Speaker Dumps PDP For APC

Former Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Rafiu Adejare Bello has decamped from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Rt Hon. Bello who was the governorship aspirant of the PDP until recently served as the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly between 2003 and June 2011.
He however stepped down on the eve of the PDP primary election for Dr Akin Ogunbiyi who came second in the election.
Bello confirmed his resignation of membership of PDP to Correspondent on telephone on Monday but did not state the party he was joining.
He was the deputy governorship candidate to Senator Iyiola Omisore who was the governorship candidate of PDP in the 2014 Osun governorship election.
But the Director of Information and Strategy of the APC, Barrister Kunle Oyatomi confirmed on Monday that the former Speaker had joined the ruling party in the state.
Barrister Oyatomi while reacting to insinuation that people were decamping from the APC explained that, “as we are losing members, some people are coming to join our party and I can confirm that well also have a big fish joining us from the PDP.”
