The Ogun State Governor-elect, Prince Oluwaseun Adedapo Abiodun, has promised to complete the ongoing projects that his administration will inherited from the present government.
He gave the promise on yesterday during a courtesy visit to the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo and Oba Adedapo Adewale Tejuosho, Osile of Oke-Ona Egba in his palace.
Prince Abiodun, who thanked Oba Gbadebo and Oba Tejuosho and the entire people of Egbaland for their support in becoming the governor, said he will run a focused and all inclusive governance that will meet the yearnings and aspirations of the entire citizenry.
He said his administration will create an enabling environment for public private partnership to thrive, as this will lead to creation of more jobs.
Speaking on the infrastructural development going on in Abeokuta and other parts of the state, Prince Abiodun assured Oba Gbadebo that his administration will continue to build on what is on ground, while emphasis will also be laid on rural infrastructural development across the state.
The Governor-elect gave his words that local government administration will be re-energised to perform its statutory functions, because it is the closest to the people.
According to him, if the local governments are functional, people in the rural areas will feel the impact of government.
Prince Abiodun also gave the assurance that salaries and emoluments of workers as well as pensioners will be given pride of place in his administration.
Also, at the palace of His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedapo Adewale Tejuosho, Osile of Oke Oba Egba, the governor elect thanked the royal father for his spiritual support giving to him when he was still a candidate.
“Abiodun said, Kabiyesi your anointing work for me. And since I begin my electioneering campaign tour round the 20 local government, wards and palace you are the first traditional ruler that anointed me and your anointing really work for me,” Abiodun concluded.
In his remark, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo and Oba Adedapo Tejuosho congratulated Prince Abiodun for emerging victorious in the governorship election, and prayed for his success in office.
The Royal Fathers reminded Prince Abiodun to implement his electoral promises which will endear him to the people of the state.
Prince Abiodun was assured of full cooperation and support by the two first class royal fathers.
