Wife of the outgoing Governor of Oyo State, Mrs Florence Ajimobi has expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would regain political power in the state in 2023.
The First Lady stated this in Ibadan on Monday while presenting food items and beverages to Muslim women for the ongoing Ramadan which began this week.
Mrs Ajimobi commended women in the state for their loyalty to you in the last eight years that her husband has been in the saddle.
She expressed her hratitude to God that despite the defeat of APC In the Governorship and Senatorial elections, her husband governed the state for eight years without any blemish and without any loss in her family.
She recalled that the achievements of her husband during the eight years were unparralled adding that she was proud to be called the wife of “Koseleri”, a term used for her husband being tbe only governor in the history of Oyo state to have served for two terms as Governor.
Mrs Ajimobi urged the women party leaders to cooperate with the party leaders who She was sure would bring APC back to power in 2023.
Mrs Mabel Williams the state Women leader of the APC, thanked Mrs Ajimobi for her philanthropy and high religious tolerance which prompted her to remember people of other faith for assistance at this austere time.
She assured both the First Lady and the APC leadership that women group in the party would not compromise their loyalty to the party leadership.
