“Raping of under age girl should be penalised and given a stiffer penalty so as to serve as deterrent to others.”
The protest was borne out of rapes that were carried out in Irele, of a 6year old girl and at Owo, in Owo Local Government Area of the state of a 7 year old girl who was sleeping in her daddy’s car during a church vigil by a church member.

The traditional ruler eulogised her excellency for the initiative and promise to always support such move.
However, the Chief Press Secretary to her excellency, Tobi Fademi said the initiative is to call all parents to the fact that, more attention should be paid in taken good care of their girl- child and be mindful of where they go and how they dress.
