Nigerians have been admonished to continue to work for the unity, peace and development of the nation rather than seek her dismemberment.
The Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states, Alhaji Daud Akinola gave the admonition at a special public Ramadan lecture organised by Yusrullah Association of Nigeria, Basorun, Ibadan on Thursday.
Alhaji Akinola, who is the grand patron of the Association, said, though, the nation is facing various challenges ranging from insecurity, kidnapping, banditry, armed robbery and others, the country needs more support and oneness of Nigerians to surmount those challenges.
Alhaji Akinola noted that Nigeria is blessed with both human and natural resources, adding that it only needs vibrant leaders to harness the potentials to accelerate its growth.
The Aare Musulumi who also host the event called on Islamic leaders to dwell on teachings that will impact positively on the society.
The Aare Musulumi, who tasked Muslim faithful to invest more on education, donated N2million for the takeoff of a secondary school in memory of the founder of Yusrulah Association, Alhaji Akande Irorun Oluwa.
