Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has administered the oath of office on Mr. Salman Jawondo as the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
The governor, speaking at the brief ceremony at the Presidential Lodge, on Friday in Ilorin, charged the appointee and other public officers to keep to their oaths of office.
“Your re-appointment is a further call to duty in serving the people of the state.
“You should continue to keep to the oath of office. I congratulate you and wish you all the best,“ the governor said.
Speaking after the swearing-in, Jawondo applauded the governor for his re-appointment and his giant strides across sectors, promising to justify the confidence reposed on him.
“On behalf of myself and the larger Jawondo clan, I express my profound appreciation to His Excellency for the honour done to me once again.
“This opportunity is a challenge for me to assist His Excellency, by redoubling my efforts in his drive to change the narrative of the state and ensure development.
“By the grace of God, Your Excellency will succeed,” Jawondo said.
