A stakeholder in Ayila Community in Ogun Waterside has commended the Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, for taking them out of 15 years of total darkness and fulfilled all her promises to the people of the area.
A community leader in the area, Chief Felix A. B, said this during a media interview in Ayila Community, Ogun Waterside Local Government.
He thanked God Almighty for the true presence of the Federal Government such that had never been witnessed before.
Ayila isĀ an agrarian town in Ogun Waterside, Ogun State, Nigeria, from where the present Minister of Finance, Adeosun, comes from.
The community leader noted that the construction of a block of five classrooms in Ayila was among the first phase of projects in the educational sector facilitated by the Minister for Finance, suggesting her interest in capacity-building of sons and daughters of Ayila.
He said the love Adeosun has for her community had actually prompted her to put a new face on Ayila such that the road from Ayede to Ayila is been worked upon by RCC Construction company, adding that a multi-million naira borehole has also been completed to end the years of water scarcity in the land.
Chief Felix also said Adeosun had ended the long years of pains suffered in crossing the body of water between Ayila and Okebi.
From time immemorial, travelling to Okebi has been by boat, but as soon as Adeosun became the Finance Minister, she promised and built a good bridge on the water.
Now, everybody goes to Okebi by vehicle or by motorbike.
He said the people of Ayila are proud of the Minister, because we have begun to feel relief from past years of difficulties resulted from lack of what I will refer to as social security infrastructure.
He said, “Ayila roads are now motorable. We have stable source of water through the borehole she dug for us. There are additional classrooms facilitated by her. So, we believe she is doing well and enjoying dividends of democracy in our areas”.
Meanwhile, another stakeholder in Ayila town, Mr. Alfred, has appealed to the Minister to assist them more in giving employment opportunities to Ayila youths as the town has produced a good number of unemployed graduates.
