Nigeria defeated Tunisia by a lone goal to secure third-place in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations 2019.

The tournament-leading goal scorer, Odion Ighalo, with five goals taps in Nigeria opener in the 3rd minutes of the match after Tunisia defense mix-up Jamilu Collins cross into the six-yard area.

The Super Eagles win the bronze medal again, making it 8th time.

The Super Eagles emerged third-place in 1978, 1992, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2019 and they have won every third-place play-off final they have ever played in.

Tunisia and Nigeria lost in close semis on Sunday and Algeria meet Senegal in much anticipated Friday’s final.
