A balcony of a building collapsed this Saturday morning, March 19, 2016 in Lagos barely two weeks after the collapse of a five-storey building at Lekki Gardens in Lagos killing 35 persons.
The ill-fated balcony building that collapsed on Saturday is located at Ali Close, Mile 12 area of Kosofe Local Govt. Area of Lagos State, South-West Nigeria.
According to the Spokesman of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in the South-west, Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, a lady that was rescued alive by community members later died on d way to hospital.
The collapse of the building in Lekki was a celebrated issue with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode ordering integrity test on all building in Lekki Gardens.
Meanwhile, the MD of Lekki Gardens and another official of the company are being prosecuted over the building collapse.
