The perebiti Ruling House at Agadagba, Arogbo in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State has called on the state Governor, Barr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to urgently call to order his agents and cronies who have been attempting to impose Chief Doubra Egbunmu as the Agadagba elect on the Agadagba’s Chieftaincy rumble.
The Perebiti Ruling House made the call on Monday, at a Press Briefing held at the Nigeria Union of journalists (NUJ), Press Centre, Adegbemile, Akure, the Ondo State capital.
According to Mr. Egbekun Ebierite Barakumo, a member of the perebiri Ruling House who championed the press briefing, said the call became imperative in order to avoid breakdown of law and order in the community.
According to Barakumo, the stool of the Agadagba of Arogbo became vacant in February 2007 after the demise of Pere Eperetum D. M. E. and the vacant stool became a subject of litigation in suit No. HOK/1M/2009; HOK /9/2011. CA /AK/40M/2012 and CA/115M/2013 and some which are still pending in court.
“The Perebiri ruling House which is a judgment creditor in suit No. HOK /1M/2009 is weary to make any statement on the subject of the Agadagba of Arogbo’s vacant stool which is in court, however, some mischief in and outside the government, for their selfish interest , are misinforming the government and using the cloak of government to brew crisis in Arogbo Ibe on the subject of the Agadagba of Arogbo Chieftaincy”.
Barakumo said they were shocked last week when Ese – Odo Local Government, through the Head of Personnel, Oye Ogbaro disregard the judicial process by issuing a public notice dated 4th April, 2018, requesting the Perebiyenmo Ruling House to hold a meeting for the purpose of nominating a candidates for the purpose of filling the vacant stool of Agadagba of Arogbo within 14days, consequent besieged by armed security personnel ( Soldiers and Naval officers) commanded by Chief Bibopere Ajugbe whose allies and cronies were mobilized to Arogbo to have purportedly, voted Chief Zacheus Doubra Egbunnmu as Agadagba – elect of Arogbo.
Mr. Egbekun Ebierite also accused the Ondo State Commissioner for Land and Housing, Mr Donald Ojogo of attending the purported election as a representative of the state government when he’s not the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs stressing that it speaks volume of the fact that he’s in collaboration with Chief Bibopere Ajube to set Arogbo Ibe on fire over the Agadagba vacant stool.
