Also in his remark, Dr. Ekwerenmadu stressed that the country needed men and women who are patriotic to revive the country.
The deputy senate president who said he believed Nigerians could build a more united and focused country, disclosed that today’s generation of politicians owed the people responsibilities and duties to ensure that the baton of power of power handed over to them did not disappear in their hands.
He noted that it was their responsibilities as leaders of the country to ensure that the country felt a sense of belonging, adding that if Nigerians were united, it would lead to a meaningful development.
“Nigeria is in a very difficult position. Today, we need men and women who are patriotic to move the country forward. Nigeria has never been divided as it is. But when we have patriotic people around irrespective of tribes, Nigeria will be much better,” Ekwerenmadu added.
