Civil servants in the employ of the Oyo State Government who bagged the Most Efficient Civil Servant Award for 2019 have been presented with a N100,000 cheque each
The cash award is coming barely three months after the State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi promised the cash reward on January 14, during the 2019 interfaith prayer program organized for civil servants to usher in the new year. .
The State Head of Service, Mrs Hannah Ogunesan who made a symbolic presentation of the cheques on behalf of the governor to some of the awardees in her office on Friday said the gesture was in fulfilment of the governor Ajimobi’s promise to reward efficient civil servants in ministries, department and agencies of the state government.
Those presented with the cheques are, Mr Mustapha Taiwo (Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM) Mr Oyekunle Paul (Director, Administration and Services, Office of The Governor) Alhaji Yusuf Ishola, (Office of the Auditor General for State) and Mr Ojelabi Olushola (Ministry of Trade & Commerce).
Responding on behalf of the recipient’s, Mr Oyekunle Paul appreciated the governor’s gesture saying that it will serve as motivation for them to work harder and a source of inspiration for civil servants to put in note efforts in their daily duties.
