Eleven newly appointed Permanent Secretaries in the employ of Oyo State Government have been officially sworn-in.
The ceremony which took place on Wednesday at the Executive Council Chambers of the Governor’s Office was witnessed by government functionaries, colleagues and family members.
The new permanent secretaries are; Alhaji Oladeinde Nafiu, Mr Jimoh Adewole, Mrs Abioye Abosede, Mrs Eyitayo Omoniyi, Mr Ajagbe Olaleye and Dr Adedigba Alfred.
Others are: Arc. Balogun Adebowale, Mrs Olaleye Olayinka, Mr Audu Ademola, Mr Yinka Fatoki and Mr Tajudeen Olanrewaju.
The State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi who described as, “enviable’ their new status, admonished the new permanent secretaries to to be up and doing, be more resourceful and dedicated to duties.
The Governor also enjoined them to live above board and to always put the interest of the State above personal interest and to exhibit confidentiality in state matters.
He described the new government appointees as dedicated set of civil servants who have displayed high sense of commitment and loyalty to government.
“The position of Permanent Secretary is political. It is at the discretion of the governor. You have been chosen to contribute to the development of the society through public service,” he stated.
