South-West Coordinator, Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation (BOCO), Alhaji Abiodun Jimoh, has described the decision of former governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a welcome development.
According to him, “The decision of Otunba Alao-Akala to move to the APC is to enable him exercise his political activities in the party.
“We welcome him back into our midst. We believe he has done this in the best interest of Ogbomoso people and Oyo State in general. We want to assure him that all is well with him.”
Alhaji Jimoh urged members of the party to accept the defection of Alao-Akala in good faith adding that victory is sure for APC in election.< Otunba Alao Akala before his decampment to APC was the governorship candidate for Action Democratic party. Though, he said candidates in ADP contesting for House of Assembly seat would vye on that platform, just as he assured them of his support. Meanwhile, the camp of the Peoples Democratic (PDP) in the state reckons that with or without Alao-Akala in the APC, the PDP will emerge winner at the poll.
