A lawmaker representing Kajola State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Akeem Mustapha Olawale has reiterated the commitment of his administration to improve the living standard of his people and promptly deliver to them dividends of democracy.
Speaking on Impact Business Radio, (IBR) 92.5 FM in Ibadan, the legislator who is the Chairman House Committee on Science, Technology and Energy, said he has already embarked on measures to make them self sufficient with dividend of democracy.
The lawmaker said said he has sponsored three motions out of 25 from which 17 have been has become Bill.
“The 9th Assembly was inaugurated on 10th of June 2019 with 32 Honourable members, I am the first to move a motion which has to do with Moniya-Ojutaiye-Iseyin road, an Appeal on Traffic Regulatory Agencies to check persistent gridlock along major roads and many more.
While answering questions, Hon. Mustapha explained that the legislative arm of government is saddled with two major functions which are law making and oversight.
He said the present administration focuses on education, health, security and agriculture adding that the people of Kajola local government will benefit so much, especially in area of agriculture since they are predominantly farmers.
Hon. Mustapha explained that the second of his motions was premised on providing adequate security for the state especially the people of Kajola who had been confronted with kidnapping menace over the years.
Speaking on his efforts in his 100 days in the office, Hon Mustapha Olawale said he has given loan to people of Kajola state constituency to start small scale business to make them self sufficient.
“I also gave first aid boxes to all secondary schools in the said local government and I have promised that my administration will not relent on programmes that will alleviate poverty and suffering of my constituent members.”
