A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Ambassador Sola Ìjì, has said the state Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is responsible for political crisis rocking the party.
Ìjì who made the assertion on Thursday when he presented his nomination and Expression of Interest form to the state Chairman of the party, Engr Adé Adetimehin, at the party secretariat in Akure, the state capital.
The Ambassador of Nigeria to Togo said that, despite the efforts of many of the party faithful in the last presidential election in the state, he said the governor sabotaged their efforts by campaigning against the president and supporting another platform against the party that produced him as governor.
Adetimehin said all hands must be on deck to take the party to an enviable height comes October 2020.
He further urged all aspirants to protect the good image of the party and make it a household name much stronger than before.
The aspirant later said Akeredolu should not be considered for the third time since he contested in 2012, 2016, and now in 2020.
