Human rights activist, Mr. Femi Falana, on Thursday in Akure said Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has surprised him beyond imagination, stressing that the governor has delivered dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
Falana who showered encomiums on the governor during a book launch to mark the 3rd year anniversary of his administration at the International Event Centre, DOME, in Akure, said the state was at a pity level when Akeredolu took over.
He commended the governor for having his people at the heart of many developmental projects in the state.
According to him, “the state was owing over N4billion before Akeredolu came but today, he has not only paid the salaries, also pensions and gratuities have been paid. He deserves commendation.”
As part of the 3rd anniversary of the governor’s administration, President Muhammadu Buhari was in the state on Tuesday to inaugurate the multi-million naira Ore flyover as well as Ore Industrial Hub, some of the iconic projects of Governor Akeredolu.
