Sequel to the recent occurrence in Akure, the Ondo State Capital over the missing baby that led to the burning of the church, Sotitobire Prayer Centre, at the city centre on Wednesday, the Police said 10 people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Speaking with Western Post, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Femi Joseph, said the investigation is still on to unravel the rationale behind the scene.
More so, the Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN) Chairman in Ondo State, Rev. Oladapo Ayoolapo though blamed the perpetrators, who burnt the church but laid emphasizes on the fact that the Founder of Sotitobire Church Alpha Babatunde, is never a member of the association.
According to the PPRO, he said the suspects who looted the church in the cause of the incident are helping the police to get more facts on the issue.
When our reporter got there at the early hours of the day, people were seeing smatching the burnt vehicles, looting the remnant left on touched.
The PPRO, also said that the items and the vehicle used in conveying the looted items have been arrested and will be charged to court.
It would be recalled that the pandemonium eschews on Wednesday in the church when a rumour filtered the air that the missing child had been found.
