All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and immediate past Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Chairman, Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye has described the death of Mrs. Florence Ajimobi’s mother as sad and painful.
Mrs. Ajimobi is the wife of the former governor of Oyo State, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi
Aleshinloye stated this while commiserating with Mrs. Ajimobi, on the passing of her beloved mother, Mama Victoria Amudoaghan.
In a statement in Ibadan, Prince Aleshinloye said the death of Mama Amudoaghan was a great loss, describing it as painful and sad event which will leave a vacuum in the lives of the children, family, close relatives and friends of the family.
Abass-Aleshinloye, who also described the deceased as “a quintessential mother, pillar of support to her daughter, devout Christian and community leader who spent her lifetime to the service of God and humanity” said he received the news with rude shock.
“As mortals we never want our elderly ones to die, but the Holy Books say that all souls must taste death. So, we have to submit to the supreme will of the Almighty God from whom we came and unto whom we shall all return,” he added..
Aleshinloye prayed God to grant her soul eternal peace and also gives the Amudoaghan family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
