The Lagos State governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, and his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, will face each other during a debate scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. today.
The high profile event is expected to hold at Archbishop Vining Memorial Anglican Church located at Ikeja G.R.A., Lagos. Issues from economy to Lagos mega city project are expected to dominate the argument and questions will be fielded from both physical and online audience.
The two campaigns released the following statements in acquiescence to the debate.
I AM putting myself forward because I believe I have the qualities required to continue the giant strides, which our great party, APC, has achieved in Lagos in recent years. Lagos is my state and you are my people. I shall work to serve you. I shall never do less. Here and now, I dedicate myself to this task. I shall not flinch nor lose focus
• Akinwumni Ambode
WE are not changing the wheel. We will bring new ideas into the way things are done and bring about development. We are talking bold ideas. We want to have a Lagos that is populated by educated, highly skilled and people living in prosperous places in the state. No society can develop where security, health and education are not correct.
