Ambode To Support First Diaspora Festival


Governor Akinwumi Ambode has promised to host the first ever Diaspora Festival in Africa as he emphasize the need for the state to create a convergence of Investment, Commerce and Tourism.Ambode made this statement when delegates of Diaspora Festival led by Senior Special Assistance (SSA) to the President on the Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa paid him a courtesy call at the State House, Alausa-Ikeja.

In her remarks Erewa praised Ambode for his good works in Lagos which have made job easier not just for Lagosians abroad but her, whenever Lagos is being publicised abroad. She said her visit was for three reasons, persuade the Governor to host the first Badagry festival,invite him for a United Nations summit in New York where African descent would hold a global summit and a huge investment summit in London.

According to the Senior Special Assistance to the President on the Diaspora  ‘Nigerians are the most intelligent immigrant in the world and we are so proud of Lagosians around the world.’

In his remarks, the Governor of Lagos State reiterate his promise to continue to develop the tourism potentials in Lagos State as he urged the organisers of the festival to make it a yearly one.
