Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has said the electorate, who are beneficiaries of his administration’s vast and impacting developmental projects in the three senatorial districts of the state, will respond to criticisms of his policies by his opponents with their votes in the February 28 gubernatorial election.
Speaking in Ifo, Ifo Local Government Area of the state, in continuation of his ward-to-ward gubernatorial re-election campaign in the 20 local government areas of the state, Amosun said he would not respond to the false accusation of his critics, as he was certain that the people of the state, who have benefited immensely from his administration’s rebuilding mission, will vindicate him with their votes for his second term in office.
He described the claim that he concentrated developmental projects in Ogun Central as unfounded and lacklustre, noting that the claim cannot disillusion the already enlightened electorate.
“The Ogun people already know who truly are the builders and the deceivers,” he stated, noting that six out of the 15 models schools being constructed by his administration across the three senatorial districts of the state are in Ogun West.
“I have said I won’t respond to the opposition when they abuse me but its quite unfortunate that Chief Olusegun Osoba claimed we concentrated projects in Ogun Central, yet we have built six model schools in Ijebu-East and four of them are ready for commissioning while roads construction are ongoing in Sagamu, Ilishan, Ago Iwoye, Ijebu Igbo, Ayetoro and many of the roads in Ota township are being constructed.
“But we won’t answer them on this matter, rather, our people, who already know who they are, would answer them with their votes,” Amosun submitted.
