The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has condemned the violence unleashed on traders and passersby in Iwo Road axis of Ibadan.
The opposition party in the state attributed the crisis to the activities of loyalists of the Chairman of the Park Management System (PMS) Alhaji Lamidi Mukaila aka “Auxiliary” which resulted in the death of one Rahman Azeez on Wednesday night.
A statement released by the APC Caretaker Committee Publicity Secretary, Abdul-azeez Olatunde said the incessant occurrence of violence within Ibadan metropolis has exposed the present administration’s unpreparedness for governance.
The party further described the state security outfit Amotekun as toothless due to its nonchalant attitude while the violence lasted.
He advised the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde to brace up and rejig the state security architecture by convening a security summit in the state.
