The All Progressives Congress (APC) has relieved Gombe State Chairman and State Legal Adviser, Barr. Muhammed Magaji Doho and Mr. Sallau Manu Pindiga respectively of their positions.
The party also accepted the resignation of the State Deputy Chairman and State Secretary of the party.
Mallam Mail Bala Buni, the party’s National Secretary, conveyed the decisions of the party in a statement on Thursday.
The party has now approved the composition of Caretaker Officers with Hon. Lawan Shetima as State Chairman. The committee will serve for 3 months.
Buni said: “Arising from the irreconcilable differences in the top hierarchy of the Gombe State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) which led to the factionalisation of the State Chapter as informed by the testimonies of members of the State Executive Committee, the National Working Committee (NWC) of our Party in exercise of its powers contained in Article 13.4 (xvi & xvii) of the Party’s Constitution resolves as follows:
1. Accept the resignation of Mr. Karu Ishaya and Mr. Sallau Manu Pindiga as State Deputy Chairman and State Secretary respectively.
2. Relieve Barr. Muhammad Magaji Doho and Barr. Dauda Manu as State Chairman and State Legal Adviser respectively.
3. Both decisions in “1” and “2” takes effect from 31st August, 2016.
4. Approve the composition of Caretaker Officers into the vacant offices as follows:
(i) Hon. Lawan Shetima – State Chairman
(ii) Capt. Bala Jibrin – State Deputy Chairman
(iii) Alh. Sule Yakubu – State Secretary
(iv) Barr. Joseph William – Legal Adviser
“The Committee will serve for a 3-month renewable period”.
