‘APC will retain power in Oyo in 2015’

Alhaji Saheed Yusuff, the Caretaker Chairman of Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State, has expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will retain power in the state in 2015.

Yusuff told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)  in Iseyin on Friday that the  level of development accomplished by the  Abiola Ajimobi-led administration would convince the  people of the state to vote for the party.

“Let us face the fact; in the history of Oyo State and I say this without mincing words, tell me any governor who employed so much as the present administration.

“Graduates and non graduates have been massively employed at different grades; drive round Ibadan township and tell me what you observe.

“Go round the garages and parks in Ibadan; sanity has taken over from thuggery  and we can now move freely at night owing to the  presence of  joint security patrol task force.

“I am not saying that there are  no areas of improvement, obviously  there are still areas that we must improve on,” he said.

“The fact is, we are in an entirely new era of sanity, dedication to work and commitment to service.

“The people of Oyo State know where they were before the present administration and they also understand the implications of going back to the dark days,’’ he added.

Yusuff also said  Ajimobi had allowed each of the councils to function effectively without interference.
