Governor Abiola Ajimobi has disclosed that Oyo State Government would ensure the late businessman and Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji Abudul-Azeez Arisekola Alao is immortalised.
The governor made this known at a civic reception and 70th post-humous birthday for the late philanthropist at his Oluwo Kekere, Basorun, Ibadan residence.
Ajimobi said the newly-rehabilitated Tollgate-Challenge Expressway would be named after the business mogul.
In addition, the state government, in collaboration with Arisekola Foundation, would sponsor Muslim faithfuls to Lesser Hajj otherwise known as Umrah while some other projects would also be named after the deceased, the governor added.
He remarked that throughout his life, Alhaji Arisekola used his wealth to impact positively on the society, adding that it will take another 50 years for Yorubaland to produce another Arisekola.
An Islamic cleric, Sheikh Suleiman Onikijipa, acknowledged the virtues of late Alhaji Arisekola-Alao, describing him as a godly person, who not only used his wealth in the service of mankind, but also left behind well-trained children with the fear of Allah.
